Bro. Alan Six was saved at the age of 18. After graduating from college, he worked as an accountant in Dallas for 6 years. He felt God's call on his life to vocational ministry in December 1993, and was ordained to the ministry at Ridgecrest Baptist Church shortly thereafter. Alan served as Associate Pastor at Ridgecrest until he was called to Marlin, Texas.
In May 1994, Trinity Memorial Baptist Church in Marlin, TX, called Alan as Pastor, where he served for 12 years. Although the Six family loved Marlin and the church, in 2006 they felt God leading them to Fort Worth so Alan could complete his ministry training at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Alan graduated from SWBTS in May 2008, and in July 2008, he began his ministry as pastor of First Baptist Church Newark. Alan and his wife, Vira, have three children, Hannah, Abbey & Samuel.

Minister to Youth & Music | firstname.lastname@example.org
Roger was born and raised in California, where he accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age. It was during high school and later in College where he felt the call to ministry. He interned under his former Youth Pastor Dave for over 3 years, where he led worship and taught the youth. While attending California Baptist University, Roger met the love of his life, Nylma Rivera, and in July of 2008 they were married. Nylma is an elementary school teacher. After briefly helping a church plant, Roger felt that he wanted to complete his education, and came to Texas to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated in December 2013.
Youth Ministry has always been a large part of Roger's life and he is thrilled to serve at FBC Newark, where he hopes to help the youth discover more about who Christ is and take them deeper into the Word of God. Making sure they have a foundation of what the Bible is and how it connects and communicates to us is very important, and he wants the youth to be able to see how God spoke then and works now even today. Roger desires that the youth have a vibrant faith that doesn't just begin and end on a Sunday morning, but extends throughout the week and impacts every part of their lives.
If Roger isn't preparing for lessons, he is working as a Barista-Shift Supervisor at Starbucks. He also really enjoys reading Theology, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and especially Comic Books. He also enjoys exercising and coffee (though not together) and the occasional veg-out session by watching movies or playing video games.
